Happy 9th to Reuben

What started as a night with a string of pretty hard-hitting seizures ended up being a decent enough day for Reuben. Daddy gave him his rescue medication in the early morning hours, and he slept peacefully the rest of the night. Since starting the cannabis oil, his recovery after nights of seizures is much quicker, so he was able to enjoy brownies and CANDLES with his therapists in the morning.
These three have invested so much in Reuben. On the left is Jess, his speech therapist, who he's worked with twice a week since he was just over two years old. Then Kelsey, his occupational therapist, and next to him, Brian, his physical therapist.
Rinnah made him a birthday hat.

I asked him to stand by Rinnah for another photo. He wasn't very reciprocal with the hug!

But you can tell here that he's pleased with the gesture.
Because he loves candles so very much, we put some into the remaining brownies after supper. Reuben didn't want to actually eat any of them, but he was very engaged with the lighting, singing, and blowing out.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, REUBEN!!!!
