Art Museum field trip

Minus Owen, because he's part time at the high school these days, the four home schooled girls, Eben and I took a quick pass through the Minneapolis Institute of Art. It's pretty neat having such a diverse art museum close by that's FREE!!
Evania is pretending to BE the chest. It was her favorite piece in the room.

Rinnah looked so pretty next to this one!

I've always loved this one.

Leah and the Prairie School

Most of the photos today were with Leah behind the camera. This is one of them.

She was fascinated by the juxtaposition of this early 20th century screen and the Minneapolis skyline as a backdrop.

This is not really what it's like to bring a 16 month old pin-ball-machine (aka Eben) to an art museum...

...this is a little better representation!

Thus the attempt at holding him in a place that he enjoys...

...which goes kind of like this!

Stairs are a great place to burn off some energy in a fairly contained way!

Inside a panorama of the headwaters of the Mississippi.

And the girls inside of it. Evania and Gloria are pretending to be in a canoe.

All of the little ones were most excited for visiting the building block area on the main floor that we spent time in last year.

This was Evania's creation.

And Gloria's house.

Rinnah made a variety, but it's her happy face that I like best about this one!

It's fun having Ebs be big enough to do some of the walking on his own. He looks so funny in his coat: like a big puffy ball with legs!
