Biking

 

Owen is again playing on the high school soccer team, and we make a point of having at least some of us go to at least part of each one of his home games. (It's so nice living right next door to the high school athletic fields!) One exception to the "home games" routine is when they play St. Thomas, which is just three miles or so from our house, so easy to get to. Yesterday that had a night game in the stadium at St. Thomas, which was a neat experience. It was chilly, and a fine misting drizzle fell at a few intervals, but all in all still a pleasant experience.

Owen, of course, rides his bike to the game and doesn't wait for the bus. It was pretty neat to pull up to the brightly lit stadium and see his bike locked to a post and him down on that big field! You can just see Dad, Reuben, Rinnah, Evania, and Gloria walking in. The rest stayed home with Leah so Dad and I could both go.
