 Well, the four-year-old who told me that when he grew up he was going to spend all of his money on Legos and cars has grown up enough to make good on the second part of that goal!

Yes. He is now the proud owner of a convertible 2003 BMW Z4 with manual transmission and 200,000 miles! It's a pretty sweet car. :)

He's already taken Gloria, Leah, Hope (Leah and Rinnah's good friend and the little sister of some of Owen's friends), Evania, me and Dad for a ride. Ebby wants to, but there's no good way to put a car seat in that thing! So he has to be content for a while yet sitting in the driver's seat while it's just parked. Even Reuben wanted to have a turn behind the wheel!

Bobbi has yet to get a ride in it, but it's going to have limited usefulness for things like picking her up from work because there's no way to fit her chair in his trunk...

I found this old drawing of Owen's on the refrigerator the day after his purchase - I'm not sure exactly how old it is, but it's pretty telling, huh?
