Fun with quilts. I can't remember the impetus, but all of the kids had their quilts that I've made for them out on the floor to drive cars on.
Ballet recital! It's fun to be teaching my own girls after many years before having kids of teaching other girls (which I also enjoyed).
This is the view looking back toward the house and shed from the vegetable garden.
Instant garden! It's so much fun having so much plant material available in our yard..and little helpers to work in it.
Evania in the garden (and Rinnah coming this way.)
K-man in the wagon watching us.
Rinnah and Reuben and I visited the new children's section of one of our local libraries.
Here's Reuben with his "Baba" (Brian - his physical therapist for the last four years). Brian bought a special cupcake for Reuben, and some other cupcakes so we could celebrate.
Here's a sweet one of Reuben and Brian (and Rinnah posing).
Gloria's a hit with the other therapists.
Owen's fancy post-bath hair.
"Vania, can you smile for a pretty picture?"
That's a little better - the dress she's wearing belonged to one of my grandmothers. It's very delicate, but still very beautiful.
There. That's a sweet one.

Finally, a better shot of the seven. (Compare to the one at the end of last month.)
A trip to the library, but we got there early, so we waited outside on the bench reading all of the books we meant to return.
For Krassi's 12th birthday we all (plus some friends) went to a new handicap-accessible playground that just recently opened. This was a big swaying platform that we could wheel Krassi up onto.
Swings that he can use (with the yellow harness)...
...and a splash pad! He knows the water comes out of that hole - look at the anticipation!
Woo! There it is!!
A wet and happy twelve year old boy.
Rinnah was very proud to be able to do this cork-screw by herself.
There's even a zip line - two next to each other - one for kids who can hold on, and this one for kids who can't, like Krassi.
Our friend holding Gloria.
Krassi got fun paper crown bracelets from his sisters.
Evania and Reuben are dropping rocks into water in a bucket.
"Yay!!!!"
Love the variety here.
On Rinnah's birthday later that same week, we went with her friend to a neat bookstore.
Reuben was enthralled with the spider!
Three stair-step girls. (Rinnah on the left, Leah on the right, and their friend in the middle.)
And following behind was Reuben.
Funny boy fell asleep in Grandma's sitting room with her ukulele on his lap.

Mommy snuggling Gloria eating mommy's necklace at a cousin's graduation open house.

Owen and second-cousin Sejal up in Uncle B's tree.
At the end of June we spent a few days in WI with Grandma and Grandpa. It's a nice bonus to get to see both sets of *my* grandparents, too. Here's Reuben showing Oma his "Letter School" game.
And Opa was as excited to listen to Owen play his guitar as Owen was to share it with him!
Krassi always finds his way to Grandpa's lap.
The girls are watching Oma hold the doll that used to belong to her.
We celebrated all three summer birthdays while we were there.
Krassi was pretty excited when we sang to him!
Grandma Ruth loves babies, so it was fun to be down while Gloria was still "baby" enough!
Teething on whoever's thumb is close enough.
Grandma's teaching Rinnah to knit, and she was very excited that it was working! Every stitch on that first row ended with a look like this one.
Rinnah with her pretty baby sister.
And Evania and Gloria - a little more exciting of a photo. ;)
