Leah's birthday party

Again this year Leah pushed her birthday party off so she could pack shoebox gifts like she did last year. The girls really enjoy this - instead of a gift for Leah, each guest brings a clothing item and a "wow" gift for their box, and then enough of a supplemental item to put in each of the other guest's boxes (eight bouncy balls, or eight hairbrushes, or eight boxes of crayons).
First, grab a shoebox. (The plastic ones are a useful gift in themselves!)

Then, come to the personal care item corner for soap, soap dishes, washcloths, toothbrushes, hair brushes, scrunchies...
Next are the school supplies - notebooks, crayons, pencils, pens, sharpeners, carrying cases...
And then a whole range of other items to fill in the gaps - stickers, coloring books, fuzzy socks, bracelets, fidget spinners...
The girls rushed through the line, eagerly filling up their gift boxes.
And then came upstairs to try to squeeze all of the items into their boxes!
After light refreshments (packing requires serious brain work!), then returned to color labels for their boxes (specifying gender and age bracket), and then showed off their finished work.

Happy (half) birthday, Leah Lynn! We're excited for the girls who will get the gifts you put together!
