Playground field trip

This month's field trip was a different sort of adventure - we checked out a really cool, really big playground about twenty minutes from home...and then decided to try out another one that I'd heard about, too, that's more of a challenge course for older kids. It was perfect weather.

Took a while of bouncing, but he finally managed to fall asleep for his morning nap.

"Let's do a goofy one!" says Leah.
Then on to the second playground. There were SO MANY little people on the equipment that Owen and Leah weren't able to give the course a full trial, but they were able to do parts of it, and our little ones enjoyed playing around with the different obstacles as well.

This was pretty neat - a 40 yard track with sensors and a timer on the other end. It wasn't 100% foolproof, which is why in the second picture Owen's not running - the timers are supposed to start at the same time when two kids line up on the starting blocks - but they can still compare their times at the end, to the 1/100 of a second!
