Kindergarten

I had a great year working with Evania. It's been a while since we've had a kindergartener, and what a joy! She learned so much.
Writing in her journal.
Our last day is this week, but she really finished up all of the official book stuff last week. But there's still so much we're learning together. We're reading a neat book about trees, and have had so many hands-on opportunities out in the yard this past week - sprouting black walnuts, whirlibirds falling from the maple, transplanting teeny tiny baby pine trees, and cutting down a dying ash.
Counting annual rings. This limb is over 50 years old!! (And notice Owen in the background, his first week behind a chain saw.)
